Refurbished Standard Transport Wheelchair

A standard transport wheelchair usually features a 19" seat width.  While footrests are usually removable, armrests on transport wheelchairs are often fixed as part of a simplified, lightweight frame.  Made for easy loading, unloading and transporting, transport wheelchairs can be made of steel or lighter weight aluminum.  All four wheels of the chair are small, meaning the seated individual must be pushed and cannot propel themselves by use of the rear wheels, like in a traditional wheelchair.
